events and weather in LA
HELLO ANGELENOS!!! It's Valentines Day week, which means I'm.... staying home and pouring myself into work subconsciously hoping I'll find love when I've accomplished enough to be worthy of it. Just kidding, but kind of not at all.
Anyway... there's a ton going on this week, especially Frieze LA and LA Art Week - check out Arkive and LA Art Show for a great list of events for these.

monday (2/13)
RET HOT Valentine's Day by The League - probably the most exclusive dating app powered valentines day event this week. it's at Soho Malibu so there's that too.
Art Gallery at the Grove - the exhibit is currently featuring a large assortment of artists from across the world.
tuesday (2/14) - Valentine's Day!
Anti-valentines day events
Brigitte Annibale's artist tour - for those not looking for love and just good vibes.
Comedy Store - nothing better than cynical single comedians on valentines day.

Biite Club - make a cake. seriously.
Ride a private gondola - like the real venice. bucketlisters has a nice list this was in
Olivietta - fancy european food. (one of our LPs owns this restaurant but I'd still recommend it!)
Eataly - I did a "choose your own adventure" italian cooking night with my girlfriend at the time last year and it was a hit. Basically buy a bunch of random italian ingredients, drink a bunch of wine, and cook whatever feels good - you can't mess up because italian food is all the same. Never forget the flowers gentlemen.
Chick-fil-a - Dress up nice and bring a table cloth, place settings, and some other items for ambiance and set it up inside a Chick-fil-a. Joking. But kinda not - if you do this PLEASE send pics.

LA Venture Meetup - this is an investor only event that has been on the up and up lately. definitely go
Farcaster Meetup - If you're a fan of the Farcaster app, a sufficiently decentralized social network, they're having a meetup with prominent users.
Performing Artist - Entrepreneur Town Hall - If you're up for a mix of music and entrepreneurship, check this event out, hearing from founders in the music/tech industry.

We had a nice warm spell, which continued this weekend, but unfortunately, we're looking at a new cold weather front entering next weekend.

ETH DENVER (Feb 24) is riiiiight around the corner. I just booked my flight and hotel today and you should too if you're in crypto or crypto curious. This is one of the best conferences of the year.
